Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awad bin Saleh Al-Awad inaugurated here this evening the Riyadh International Book Fair 2018, in the presence of Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development of the guest-of-honor country, United Arab Emirates, Noura bint Mohammed Al-Kaabi. Dr. Al-Awad expressed his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his patronage, and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, for his continued support for culture and intellectuals. Dr. Al-Awad said that choosing UAE as the guest of honor is consistent with the distinctive ties between the two countries in various fields. For her part, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development said that her government is deeply honored that UAE is the guest of honor. The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information, and has become a gathering point for readers, authors, and local and regional publishing houses.
