Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani participated today in the 69th meeting for GCC Committee of Central Banks and Monetary Institutions Governors, which took place in Kuwait under the chairmanship of Mohammad Yousuf Al-Hashel, the Governor of Central Bank of Kuwait, who is also head of the current session of GCC Committee of Central Banks and Monetary Agencies Governors, in the presence of a number of officials. At the outset of the meeting, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the meeting for GCC Committee of Central Banks and Monetary Institutions Governors represents a renewed start for the Governors Committee's march towards further achievements in the field of GCC monetary and financial economic action. For his part, Dr. Al-Zayani expressed thanks to and appreciation of the GCC Committee of Central Banks and Monetary Institutions Governors for the efforts exerted in order to enhance cooperation and integration among the monetary institutions and the central banks of the GCC states, and to continue work to overcome difficulties, improve performance and develop financial and banking procedures.
