's Customs in northwestern border of the Kingdom has thwarted smuggling of a large quantity of Captagon tablets amounting to 4,839,000, in addition to a quantity of cannabis amounting to 349.7 grams found in a vehicle coming to the Kingdom through the border's entry point. The General Director of the customs department of Halet Ammar Khalid Al-Rumaih explained that a private vehicle came to the customs and upon completion of usual customs procedures, the quantity was found hidden in different parts of the vehicle. Al-Rumaih stressed that despite the multiplicity of smuggling methods being used by smugglers in smuggling contraband, Saudi Customs is always seeking to prevent the entry of any harmful substances to health and the safety of individuals and the society.
