A number of leaders of the Council of Saudi Chambers have commended historical and distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom based on close cooperation in various fields and mutual respect. They stressed that the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Council of Economic Affairs and Development, to the United Kingdom reflects the depth of these developed relations and the desire to develop and promote cooperation between them to wider horizons to achieve their objectives in light of their political and economic weight worldwide, describing HRH Crown Prince's visit to Britain as an important historical milestone in the history of Saudi-British relations for several decades. The Council's leaders included President Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Vice President Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Obaidi, Vice President Munir bin Mohammed Nasser bin Saad, Secretary General Dr. Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mishari, and Member of Board of Directors, Chairman of Foreign Investment and International Cooperation Committee of Riyadh Chamber Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Ajlan. It is noteworthy that Britain ranks second after the United States in terms of foreign investments in the Kingdom, whereas the volume of its direct and joint investments amounts to about SR 72 billion including its contribution to 200 joint projects, while Saudi investments in Britain are estimated at SR 21.6 billion.
