Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete met Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the meeting, President Kikwete said that the visit will enhance relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Tanzania in addition to stimulate and encourage Saudi businessmen to invest in Tanzania. For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdulrahman bin Ali Al-Jeraisy said that the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, urge Saudi business sector to develop joint action and enhance investment and trade cooperation with friendly countries, including Tanzania. He also said that the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Tanzania in 2007 amounted to more than SR 909 million. Then, the Tanzanian President and Saudi businessmen held an open discussion on investment in the two countries. Following that, Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a luncheon in honor of President Kikwete and the accompanying delegation.
