The Executive Office of the Council of Arab Health Ministers held here today its 49th session at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the session was headed by Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah. Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League's Social Affairs Sector, Ambassador Badr Al-Din Alali, said in a press statement that the session discussed topics on its agenda including among others Arab successful and pioneering experiences in health fields, the provision of health support for Yemen, supporting the rights of elderly persons in health and social care, Kuwait's proposal for the annual celebration of Arab Doctors Day, and the request of the United Nations Population Fund for an observer status at the Council of Arab Ministers of Health.
