Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial entitled ''Achieving the future'' wrote that the Kingdom is proceeding on its balanced development track between the data of the enlightened thought and the military weapon which has been able to make maximum use of technology and human capabilities. The paper pointed to the Cabinet's approval of the Ministry of Defense Development Document, saying that the Saudi army ranks second in the Arab world and 22nd in the world, the Kingdom's expenditures on military industrialization range between $ 50 billion to $ 70 billion a year, the Kingdom is the third largest country in expenditures on military armaments, and military industries aim to raise their production by a range of 30-50%. On the same subject Al-Youm newspaper said that the Royal Decrees issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud appointing qualified young people in a number of government ministries and institutions reaffirm the importance of crystallizing great aspirations being practiced by the wise leadership to implement the Kingdom's vison 2030 and National Transformation Program. Okaz newspaper in its editorial entitled "The massacres of Ghouta expose the inaction of the international community'' wrote that that the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2401 on imposing a 30-day humanitarian truce in the eastern Ghouta is still ineffective due to Al-Assad regime's disregard for international resolutions, calling on the international community to put an end to this human tragedy which surpassed any other tragedy in the modern history.
