Honduran soldiers have dispersed demonstrators trying to burn tyres and block traffic in protest against the upcoming swearing-in ceremony of President Juan Orlando Hernandez, whom they accuse of fraud in the November 26 elections, according to dpa. Hernandez' victory, which was confirmed 21 days after the elections, unleashed weeks of protests in which 24 people are reported to have been killed. Saturday's demonstrations in Tegucigalpa and elsewhere in the country opposed Hernandez' swearing-in ceremony, which is scheduled for January 27.
