King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Egypt discussed today on the telephone Jordanian-Egyptian ties and the current developments in the region, particularly the Palestinian issue and Jerusalem. During the conversation, the Jordanian King stressed the need to intensify efforts and coordinate Arab positions to safeguard Palestinian rights and support the Palestinian brothers in their quest to set up an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. The two leaders agreed to continue coordination and consultation in order to serve pan-Arab causes.
