As many as 48 vessels transited the Suez Canal today, with a total cargo of 3.4 million tons. The north-bound convoy included 25 vessels laden with 2.2 million tons while the south-bound convoy included 23 vessels carrying 1.2 million tons, according to a statement by the Suez Canal Authority.
