As many as 43 ships crossed the Suez Canal in both directions today, with a total of 2,400,000 tons. According to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority, the convoy heading to the South included 20 ships with a total payload of 1,100,000 tons, while the convoy heading to the North included 23 ships with tonnage amounting to 1,300,000 tons. The largest was a French container ship carrying 180,000 tons, the report said.
