In what could come out as a great breakthrough in its land battles against the Houthis who usurped the country for the last three years, the Yemeni army, with its Arab Alliance sky cover, has made great strides in its battle to liberate Shabwa province, confirmed reports from the field said. A military source said the army has so far liberated almost eight key directorates, including Sabaan mountain, once a stronghold of the enemy as it overlooks the whole province. In a statement to the government-run Yemeni News Agency, he added that 12 enemy soldiers surrendered in the recent fierce battles as prisoners of war. He disclosed that contingents of the army have arrived at the entrance of Al-Alyaa city, the center of Behan directorate, amid continuing collapse of the Houthi militia in action.
