Yemeni VP Calls for Popular Cohesion, Opening New National Page to Defeat Houthi Coup

Yemeni Vice President and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Lt. General Ali Mohsen Saleh called for popular and communal cohesion to open a new national page, in order to confront Houthi and coup militias.
This was unfolded, in a statement transmitted here today the Yemen's official news agency - coinciding with combat operations launched by forces loyal to the General People's Congress Party against the Houthi militia, following the collapse of their alliance, on the ground.
Mohsen stressed that the rejectionist positions of the Houthis, the support of legitimacy and the role of the coalition countries confirmed the awareness of Yemenis of national, regional and international hazards it poses, whether through the dangers of receiving support and backup from Iran or ideological and fundamentalist extremist ideas.
He said that the General People's Congress Party will not succumb to the pressure of the Houthi militias and rejected Houthi's calls aimed at tearing apart the social fabric and security of Saudi Arabia, calling on the Yemeni components to stand up to face this dangerous project.
The Yemeni Vice President reiterated commitment to the legitimacy and determination to step up efforts in all regions against the Al-Houthi coup and to support all parties and cooperate with every sincere Yemeni, to rid the country of this vicious gang, restore state institutions and preserve the legitimate government, stressing the need to continue military operations until the Houthi coup is defeated, to save the Yemeni people.
On the other hand, during a meeting with Yemeni Chief of Staff Taher al-Aqili and Arab Coalition Forces commanders, in Marib governorate, Mohsen called on the army forces involved in fighting against the militias, to clearly identify resistance of Houthi ideology and militias from supporting the legitimate efforts of the army.
According to official Yemeni news agency, he praised the brotherly role of the coalition countries that support legitimacy and the interests of the Yemeni people
Participants in the meeting, discussed developments on the Front of Nahm, uprising of the army and security forces, in Sana'a, against the Houthi militia, which turned against legitimacy, rebelled against all consensus and threatened the security of Yemen and the region, as well.
