Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz, Al-Yaum and Al-Riyadh newspapers commented on Iran, saying that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense blamed Iran for the serious breach of the Kingdom's security following the launch of a ballistic missile on Riyadh on Saturday by Houthi rebels, noting that the Crown Prince accused Iran in a telephone conversation with British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson of involvement in supplying its Houthi militias with missiles and stressed that this action is considered a direct military aggression by the Iranian regime and may be considered an act of war against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The newspapers noted that the Crown Prince's accusation of Iran is fully consistent with the Iranian involvement in Yemen and its support for Houthis with smuggled weapons and missiles as revealed by international documented reports, indicating that Houthi militias can not possess ballistic missiles and this technology without the help of the Iranian regime.
