Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet's Session

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh on Tuesday afternoon.
At the outset of the session, the King briefed the Cabinet on the contents of telephone contacts with President Donald Trump of the United States of America; President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Japanese Premier Shinzo Abe as well as the content of the message sent to President Nursultan Nazarbayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the results of his meetings and talks with President Petro Poroshenko of the Republic of Ukraine; Premier Paolo Gentiloni of the Republic of Italy; the former Premier of Lebanon Saad Al-Hariri; the Minister of Energy of Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian side at Saudi-Russian Joint Committee Alexander Novak during which bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation in various fields were reviewed, in addition to discussing latest regional and international developments.
The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet appreciated the royal order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to form a supreme committee chaired by the Crown Prince to identify violations, crimes, individuals and entities involved in public corruption cases.
The Cabinet stressed that this order emanates from the King's responsibility towards the homeland and citizens and his consideration of the risks of corruption and its bad effects on the State at political, social, economic and security levels.
The Cabinet also pointed out that this royal order will enhance the programs of sustainable national development, consolidate the reform approach being adopted by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in eradicating corruption, contribute to strengthening the control system, principles of governance, accountability and justice, and protect the rights of individuals and companies so as to drive the national development march, boost the economy and stimulate investment in a just and healthy environment for the interest of ensuring the rights of the State and the protection of public money.
The Cabinet also commended the royal order for the establishment and organizing approval of the Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity to be the sole competent authority in the Kingdom for cybersecurity and national reference in its affairs.
