The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. At the outset of the session, the King briefed the Cabinet on the contents of the message sent to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Arab Republic of Egypt; telephone calls received from President Vladimir Putin of Russian Federation, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Republic of Turkey, and President Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan; and the results of his meetings with Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn, and United States Secretary of State John Kerry. The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet was briefed on the latest developments being witnessed in the region and various international efforts towards them, and in this context, it was briefed on the outcomes of the quadrilateral meeting with the participation of the Kingdom's Minister of Foreign Affairs and his counterparts from the United States of America, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey to discuss the situation in Syria and find a solution to end the crisis of the Syrian people.
