President of King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE) Dr. Hashim bin Abdullah Yamani of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has held here separate high-level meetings with representatives of Russian, US, Japanese and South Korean delegations to discuss carrying out the National Atomic Energy Project in the Kingdom. During his meeting with delegations' officials on the sidelines of the 61st General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) currently holding in Vienna, he reviewed opportunities for joint cooperation to contribute to the implementation of the national atomic energy project. Moreover, KACARE President Dr. Yamani has informed the delegations' officials on the latest developments of the National Atomic Energy Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and displayed in front of them the project's components and key elements. They have also discussed ways of cooperation to support the Kingdom's national project, especially with regard to the feasibility study of the initial technical aspects of the engineering designs (FEED) for the construction of the first two reactors in the Kingdom and the maximization of the interest in this field in addition to discussing aspects of the partnership which aims at the localization of the nuclear and renewable energy industries in the Kingdom, increasing the local content and implementing the different components of the national project.
