Dr. Bandar Hajjar, President of Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank discussed with Musa Mohammed Ahmed, Assistant of Sudan's President, a number of developmental issues and ways of developing of relations between Sudan and IDB. Sudan's senior official paid tribute to IDB's developmental contributions in Sudan, particularly in the infrastructure fields, giving an account on the progress of the IDB-financed projects in the Arab, Muslim African country, citing the rehabilitation projects in east parts of the country. For his part, Dr. Hajjar voiced that IDB would spare no effort to support economic development in Sudan in general, and address the problems facing east of Sudan's developmental projects in particular. He expressed support for partnership between Sudan's public and private sectors, suggesting to hold an IDB-sponsored conference to discuss ways of supporting the partnership between the two sectors. A powerful delegation from the part of Sudan took place in the meeting.
