Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen met here today with the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Gutierrez. During the meeting, they reviewed issues of mutual interest, coordination and consultations between the two organizations, especially on political and humanitarian issues, combating terrorism and violent extremism, as well as cooperation in cultural, social and sustainable development issues between the member states of the two organizations. They also discussed latest developments, at regional and international levels, the Palestinian issue, the Middle East peace process and the issue of the Rohingya community ongoing plight, in Myanmar.
