The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, has congratulated the Muslim world on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr 1438AH, praying to Allah Almighty for the achievement of prosperity, security and stability in the Muslim world. The Secretary General expressed his hope and aspiration that Muslims adhere to the tolerant teachings and values of Islam that urge us to coexist in peace and safety, eschew violence and extremism in all their manifestations and prohibit us from hatred and supporting terrorism which traumatizes innocent people. Dr. Al-Othaimeen underscored that the joyous Eid occasion is an opportunity to free the mind of differences and conflicts and to stop violence and fighting which have affected many parts of the Muslim world. He reminded that this occasion calls on us to remember the less privileged Muslims who lack for shelter and food and to stand with them in their plights.
