The Saudi Grains Organization has awarded the second batch of imported wheat for the year 2017 AD amounting to 805,000 tons of solid wheat from European, North and South American and Australian origins to be supplied during "August - October 2017" on board 13 ships through Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam and Jazan Port. The Organization's Governor Engineer Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris pointed out that this batch comes as an extension to the Kingdom's plan to cover the domestic demand for wheat and maintain strategic stocks. It is noteworthy that the first batch of imported wheat amounting to 735,000 tons has been awarded for this year.
