Saudi Grains Organization announced today a new international tender for importing a quantity of 720,000 tons of durum wheat during the period (May-July 2017) on board 12 ships, 8 via Jeddah Islamic Port and 4 ships through King Abdul Aziz Port in Dammam. The Governor of the Organization Engineer Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris explained that this amount in the tender represents the first batch of imported wheat for this year and comes as an extension of the plan of the Organization to cover domestic consumption and maintain strategic reserves of wheat used in flour production to meet the needs of citizens, residents and visitors to the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet's Holy Mosque.
