Minister of Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf valued his country's relations with the Kingdom and described them as historical and based on bonds of brotherhood, cordiality and shared religious and cultural values. In a speech at the University of Hazara in Mansera city in northwestern Pakistan, Yousuf said that the two countries enjoy identical views on regional and international issues and cooperation in the interests of the Islamic nation. The speech was attended by Saudi charge d'affaires in Pakistan Marwan bin Mirdad. For his part, Marwan said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to its relations with the Republic of Pakistan and will spare no effort in supporting the Pakistani people, pointing out that the two countries stood side by side in all adversities and difficult times.
