Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf received here last night Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Abdul-Aziz bin Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer. A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office said that the Pakistani Prime Minister affirmed that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan enjoy an ideal relationship based on the bonds of brotherhood and friendship, and stems from common religious and historical values. He noted that the people of Pakistan have great love and respect for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and consider him as the leader of the Islamic nation. The Pakistani Prime Minister commended the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people for their positions in support of the people of Pakistan in all difficult times during the earthquake in 2005, and floods in 2010 and 2011. He asked the Saudi Ambassador to convey his greetings to the King, and said he was looking forward to visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the coming period. For his part, the Saudi Ambassador stressed that the Kingdom attaches great importance to its relationship with Pakistan and its people, and will spare no effort to stand by Pakistan.
