Eng. Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al-Faleh, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, met here today with Kazakhstani Foreign Minister Khairat Abdul Rahmanov who is currently visiting the Kingdom. Eng. Al-Faleh lauded the Kazakhstani government's keenness to enhance strategic relations with the Kingdom. During the meeting, they discussed the oil market and its reflect on the global economy. Eng. Al-Faleh disclosed importance of Kazakhstan's commitment to the production reduction agreement aiming at balancing the markets. The two sides also discussed the promising investment opportunities between the two countries in the fields of energy, industry and mining as well as with major companies, such as Saudi Aramco and SABIC in the petrochemical field. They also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the fields of renewable energy and promising mining sector. Al-Faleh welcomed the cooperation in the field of training and development and highlighted the Kingdom's experience in applying best practices in the fields of energy, industry and mining. Eng. Al-Faleh pointed out to his visit to Kazakhstan in which he sought to enhance relationship and cooperation between the two countries. He also spoke about the Expo 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan, and expressed the Kingdom's readiness to actively participate in it. The meeting was attended by a number of officials.
