Eng. Khalid Al-Faleh, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, met here today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Stéphane Maurice Dion. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation in the fields of energy, electricity, renewable energy and mining between the two countries. The two sides also discussed situations of the international oil markets. Eng. Al-Faleh briefed the Canadian Foreign Minister on the transformation program in the sector of mining industries in line with "the Kingdom 2030". At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed on continuation of talks and joint meetings between the two countries in addition to discussion of attraction opportunities of industrial investment for the two countries. In a press statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Eng. Al-Faleh said: "We are delighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the first partner among the Middle Eastern countries for Canada with respect to investments between the two countries. Such visits contribute to enhancing prospects for cooperation between the Kingdom and Canada and providing more investment opportunities in the fields of energy, electricity, renewable energy, and mining."
