Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said in a statement that at 9:30 am today, security men came under heavy fire from an unknown source in Mousawarah District, Awwamiyya Town, while performing their tasks in tracing wanted individuals who used abandoned houses - that have been evacuated as part of a development project - as dens from which they start launching their terrorist activities. The security men responded accordingly. As a result, wanted individual Waleed Talal Ali Al-Aridh was injured and taken to hospital where died later. No security man was harmed, the statement said. The Ministry of Interior confirms that the security agencies will continue tracing all wanted individuals. At the same time, the Ministry of Interior highly appreciated the continued cooperation with security agencies by citizens and expatriates in Qatif Governorate to eliminate whoever seeks to undermine security and stability, the statement added.
