Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas received here today a phone call from the US President Donald Trump. Over the line, the US president, officially, invited his Palestinian counterpart to pay a visit to the White House, shortly, according to the Palestinian President's Office Spokesman Nabil Abu Radhina. During the meeting, the Spokesman added, the two sides will discuss means to resume the political process, as the US president reiterated commitment to the peace process that would lead to a real peace, on the ground, between the Palestinians and the Israelis. For his part, the Palestinian president confirmed abidance by the peace settlement as the national Palestinian strategic option to establish an independent Palestinian state, along the side of Israel.
