The Yemeni army announced today that Awadh Al-Barak, a Houthi military leader, surrendered to the army after fierce battles in Taiz, central Yemen. The government-run Yemeni news agency (SABA) quoted a military source of Taiz command as saying that elements from the national army made considerable advances resulting in the liberation of a number of sites in Magbena front after several-hour fierce battles, leaving several Houthi militias killed or injured while others were forced to flee away. The source added that two national army military men were martyred in action and three injured as confrontations are still raging amid great advances of the national army. Meanwhile, the Arab alliance air fighters launched a number of raids targeting Houthi militias locations in Al-Wazeiya, Al-Oqma and Khalid camp in Al-Makha intersection, Al-Kasarah point, and Al-Hamli bridge along Al-Hodeida highway.
