Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Graces Ceremony Held by University of Malaya to Award Him Honorary Doctorate Degree in Literature

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud graced here today a ceremony held by the University of Malaya to award him an honorary doctorate degree in literature.
Upon arrival at the venue, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received by Sultan of the State of Perak and University's Chancellor Sultan Nazrin Shah; Minister of Higher Education Idris Jusoh and the University's Vice-Chancellor Mohd Amin Jalaludin.
Vice-Chancellor Mohd Amin Jalaludin delivered a speech in which he announced awarding the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the honorary doctorate degree in literature, in recognition of his efforts and contributions in serving knowledge.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received the honorary doctorate degree from Chancellor Sultan Nazrin Shah.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered a speech in which he said: today, we meet in the University of Malaya which is one of the development knowledge centers in the world that contributed to the development of Malaysia and other countries.
The Islamic world today faces challenges in the field of scientific and technical knowledge as well as the political and economic fields. The universities and research centers in the Islamic countries have to respond to these challenges by accomplishing achievements that contribute to the cultural building of the Islamic nation, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said.
The universities represent a renaissance center for nations, and do have a mission namely the contribution towards achieving the dimensions of development, consolidating national unity, strengthening of dialogue and the values of tolerance and coexistence between different peoples to achieve peace and security in the international community, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques concluded.
