King Saud University has awarded the degree of honorary doctorate to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in recognition of his great accomplishments in the field of higher education and his directives for promotion and enhancement of higher education. This was announced by the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Angari who appraised the King unlimited support to enhance the performance of higher education and build its future to serve the nation, citizens and the leadership. The Minister thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his kind acceptance of this honorary degree which reflects the deep appreciation and gratitude for the generous support and sponsorship of the march of higher education in this country. He stressed that the attention of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to higher education is crowned with tangible achievements in his reign where 9 new universities have been established in a number of areas which in turn contributed along with the existing universities to the distribution of higher education in about 75 governorates. --More
