Head of Ulemas' (Scholars) Council of Pakistan Sheikh Dr. Tahir Mahmoud Al-Ashrafi has lauded great efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in defending the Islam and Muslim issues for the sake of the Islamic Nation unity. In a statement issued today, Dr. Al-Ashrafi has stressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's keenness on the Islamic Nation unity, pointing out that the Islamic Military Alliance, which is called by the Kingdom and with participation of more than 40 Islamic states, reflects the Islamic states' confidence regarding the Kingdom's efforts and leadership in dealing with terrorism and extremism. He reiterated the Pakistani scholars and people's trust on the decisions made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud pertaining to defending the security of the Two Holy Mosques and the Islamic Nation, confirming that the Kingdom's stance with supporting the Yemeni legitimacy is a clear evidence of its positions with the Islamic peoples. Sheikh Al-Ashrafi urged Iran to stop its interferences in the affairs of Islamic countries, particularly in Iraq, Syria, Bahrain and Yemen, calling upon Iran not to arm Houthi militias in Yemen and to respond to initiatives aim to unite the Muslims.
