Canadian senate George Furey who is currently on an official visit to the Kingdom at an invitation from the Shura Council speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Shiekh lauded the role being played by the Kingdom in bringing about peace in the region, citing its efforts to solve disputes through peaceful means. In remarks to the press following his meeting with the Speaker of the Shura Council earlier today, Furey described his meeting with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as important, noting that the talks focused on the distinguished bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Canada and ways of enhancing them. He lauded the efforts Saudi Arabia is exerting in the field of relief, noting that the Kingdom has not confined its assistance to countries in the region, but covered all countries of the world. He praised its effective efforts in the fight against terrorism, underscoring the importance of cooperation between the Kingdom and Canada in this field through exchange of information and experience.
