Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Each of Al-Youm, Al-Sharq, Al-Riyadh and Al-Jazeera was interested in a different issue. Al-Youm said Riyadh Declaration issued by the 36th GCC summit in Riyadh the day before yesterday has dealt with somehow complicated and thorny files in the Arab region which, the paper said, are causing its relative destabilization and lack of national security. There are well known political, social and economical changes that cast their negative impact directly on the GCC countries, necessitating playing a role by the GCC leaders to search effective solutions to them emanating from their historic responsibility on one hand and from the fact that their countries are integral part of the Arab and Islamic nations on the other, the paper said. It concluded that the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to enhance GCC joint action, endorsed by the recently-concluded GCC summit in Riyadh, is a correct one that comes in the interest and benefit of the GCC citizen, and Arab and Islamic nationals as well. The paper said the vision suggests that struggles and crises in the region must be addressed to pave the way for reaching the Arab anticipated solidarity, stability and security. --More 11:46 LOCAL TIME 08:46 GMT تغريد
