One year after a string of coordinated terrorist attacks across Paris left 130 dead and hundreds injured, France paid silent tribute to the victims on Sunday, dpa reported. French President Francois Hollande unveiled memorial plaques bearing the names of the victims at the various sites the terrorists struck. After each unveiling, the names were read out, a wreath was laid and a period of silence observed. Hollande did not give any speeches, in agreement with the associations that represent the victims' families, who had requested a more dignified commemoration. The plaque at the Stade de France national stadium in the northern Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis where three suicide attackers blew themselves up on November 13, 2015, shows the name of a passerby who was killed in one of the explosions.
