Two people have been killed and 50 wounded in a car bombing at the German consulate in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-e Sharif, a medical official says, according to dpa. "Most people are wounded due to shards of glass following the blast," says Dr Noor Mohammad Faiz, head of government hospitals in Mazar-e Sharif, the capital of Afghanistan's northern Balkh province.
