China launched two astronauts into space on Monday
morning, paving the way to a permanent orbital research complex by 2022, state media reported, according to dpa.
The 464 ton, 52-meter-tall Long March-2F carrier rocket blasted off at 7.30 am (2330 GMT Sunday) from Jiuquan space centre, a military-operated facility on the edge of the Gobi Desert.
