Director of Industrial Licensing and Following-up Authority and General Supervisor of Industrial Services Centers at the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Engineer Saad bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said that there are 670 big producing factories with a funding of more than SR 100 million of the total producing factories amounting to 7571 factories, which their totaled investments amounted until the end of the third quarter of the year 1437 H (2015 G) to more than SR 980 billion. In a statement today, he said that the chemicals and plastics industry topped the list of factories numbered 148 factories with a total investment exceeding SR 520 billion, followed by base metals and minerals industry with a number of 125 factories with investments of SR 80 billion and then food and beverage industries with a number of 123 factories wit investments excedding SR 79 billion. --More
