RIYADH – The number of producing factories in Saudi Arabia reached 6,670 by the end of the 2nd quarter of the year 1435 AH with a total funding exceeded SR1 trillion, while the total number of workers in the factories reached 891,500. In its latest statistical report published on its website, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the Riyadh region topped the list of the number of producing factories in the Kingdom with a total of 2,878 factories and a volume of financing at SR114.4 billion, followed by the Eastern region at 1,572, producing factories with total funding amounted to SR629.8 billion, then Makkah region with about 1,254 producing factories with total funding amounted to SR131.9 billion. The rest of the factories are distributed to the rest of the Kingdom's regions. Baha region has the lowest share with an estimated number of just 15 producing factories with a total funding amounted to SR59 million. – SPA
