Jordan Saturday condemned a terrorist attack on an Egyptian military checkpoint that took place west of the town of El Arish in the Sinai Peninsula and left 12 soldiers dead and injured six others. Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs and official government spokesman Mohammad Momani said Jordan decried "this cowardly terrorist incident" that targeted on-duty Egyptian soldiers, extending his condolences to the brotherly people of Egypt and wishing the injured speedy recovery. Momani expressed Jordan's solidarity with Egypt in facing terrorism and rejecting all forms of extremism and terrorism, calling for collective international action to eradicate terrorism.
