Jordan condemned a car bomb attack in Cairo on Monday that killed Egypt's top public prosecutor, Hisham Barakat. State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani told Jordan News Agency (Petra) that "Jordan condemns this cowardly act and voices its full support of Egypt in countering terrorism and violence." "This terrorist act requires concerted efforts by the international community to eradicate terrorism and violence," Momani added, reiterating Jordan's rejection of all forms of violence, regardless of their source and motives. The minister also extended the government's condolences to the Egyptian government, people, and the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
