Saudi Speaker of Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, currently on a visit to the Republic of South African, held yesterday at the headquarters of the National Assembly of South Africa in Cape Town yesterday talks with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of South Africa, Baleka Mbete, as part of his official current visit and his accompanying delegation to South Africa. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and South Africa, and the latest developments in the Middle East, as well as ways to promote parliamentary relations between the Saudi Shura Council and the parliament of South Africa, and to activate the role of parliamentary friendship committees in both councils. For her part, Mbete stressed the importance of ties between the Kingdom and South Africa and her country's keenness on their development, highlighting the Kingdom's role in the Middle East's issues, especially in Yemen and Syria.
