The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has sent invitations to Member States to attend an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee at the level of the delegates at the General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah next Sunday to discuss the deteriorating humanitarian situations in the city of Aleppo, Syria. The Secretariat noted that it has received a request from the State of Kuwait, the president of the forty-second session of the Council of OIC Foreign Ministers, to hold this meeting. The Executive Committee is composed of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Turkey, Gambia, and Uzbekistan, as well as the OIC Secretary General.
