JEDDAH — The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold an emergency meeting on Sunday at its headquarters in Jeddah to discuss the ramifications of the Syrian refugee crisis and mobilize efforts to address it. The OIC General Secretariat has extended invitation to attend the open-ended meeting of the Executive Committee at the level of the permanent representatives, according to an OIC press statement. The meeting is set to discuss ways to address the humanitarian crisis. OIC Secretary-General Iyad Madani appealed, earlier this week, to the international community to put aside all partisan concerns except the humanitarian spirit and dignity while dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis.
