On behalf of the Minister of Transport Sulaiman bin Mohammed Al-Hamdan, General President of Saudi Railways Organization Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Al-Rumaih opened here yesterday the 4th seminar of public transport buses organized by the International Union of Public Transport for the Middle East and North Africa (UITP MENA), under the title "fuel efficiency and alternative energy consumption" held under the auspices of the Ministry of transport and hosted by Saudi Public Transport "SAPTCO". Dr. Al-Rumaih stressed the importance of the topics discussed by the seminar which comes in coincidence with great attention being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards the establishment of public transport systems through mega-projects whose stages are currently being carried out in high-density cities, including the city of Riyadh, which establishes the largest project for public transport in the world, both metro and buses.
