Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday. At the outset of the meeting, the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the results of receptions the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has held for each of King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco; President Omer Hasan Al-Bashier of Republic of Sudan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Zaid Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu- Dhabi, who is also Vice Commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates; during which fraternal relations and issues of mutual interest were reviewed. The outcome of the audience held by Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the Envoy of the U.S. President for International Coalition against terrorist organization of Daesh Brett Macgork were also reviewed, reiterating the Kingdom's support for and stand by the international efforts aiming to confront the terrorist organizations' acts, led by Daesh organization. Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi said, in a statement to SPA following the session, that the Cabinet welcomed the declaration of Nouakchott and resolutions issued at the conclusion of the 27th Arab summit in Mauritania, expressing its thanks to and appreciation of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania's government and people, led by President Mohammed Ould Abdulaziz for hosting the summit, stressing the Kingdom's assurance before the summit that the scenario now witnessed in the region and the world at large showing violent extremism and sporadic terrorist acts poses a threat to Arab peoples and nations and international peace and security and that many of culprits taking part in these terrorist crimes are trying to attach them to Islam which innocent from such accusations. The Cabinet renewed the Kingdom's calls for intensifying efforts at all levels to fight terrorism and extremism in its security, military, financial and intellectual aspects, citing the Kingdom's initiative in this regard to establish an Islamic military alliance to fight terrorism and violence, so far accommodating 40 Arab and Islamic countries. --More
