Minister of Trade and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah AL-Gasabi led the Saudi delegation participating in the ministerial meeting of trade ministers of the Group of Twenty, held in Shanghai yesterday. Dr. AL-Gasabi held bilateral meetings to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and the members of G20 on all trade and investment levels. He also reviewed during a meeting with senior officials of the Chinese companies goals of the national transformation program in 2020 and the 2030 vision of the Kingdom and discussed promising areas in the Kingdom and facilities for investment opportunities provided to them. He also met with number of trade ministers from many countries. The minister's progam at the G20 includes a ministerial session to emphasize the importance of a mechanism to strengthen the trade and investment regime of the member states of the Group of Twenty, support the multilateral trading system mode, as participants discussed ways to promote international trade and cooperation growth to coordinate global investment policies, as well as a special session on the development of value-added series and to encourage greater participation of developing countries in small and medium enterprises.
