The State of Qatar welcomed the decision of the Secretariat of the United Nations to lift the Arab Coalition to support the legitimacy in Yemen from the list of children's rights violations in conflicts and wars. An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "The decision to lift the Arab Coalition from the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations on children and the armed conflict came after verification of the General Secretariat of the United Nations of the inaccuracy and non-objectivity of the information relied upon by the report." The source re-emphasized the full commitment of Arab coalition countries to support the legitimacy in Yemen, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to the rules of the international law and the international humanitarian law, stressing that the coalition's basic mission is to protect civilians including children, restore the legitimacy and provide humanitarian assistance to the Yemeni brotherly people.
