The Spokesman of Coalition Forces Command, Adviser in the Office of Defense Minister Brigadier Ahmed bin Hassan Asiri stressed that what is stated in the United Nations report, "which claimed that the coalition has committed violations" contradicts the resolutions of the United Nations itself. He said that one among the most important objectives of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen is the protection of the Yemeni people including children from the practices of Houthi militias in the presence of internationally recognized legitimate government which was affirmed by the United Nations resolution No. 2216 ". Regarding the report's equation between the Coalition and Houthi militias, Brigadier Asiri commented in an interview with Al-Arabiyah Net, saying, " The report regrettably equates between the international legitimacy and the legitimacy of the government and coup militias who were a major cause of what is happening in Yemen of instability and chaos, and the United Nations is now at a time that it should support the legitimacy of the Yemeni government and deal with it to take most of its information upon which this report was based from sources close to Houthi militias and this misleads the United Nations reports and the Yemeni and international public opinions''. Brigadier Asiri added, "Since the first day of operations, the Coalition has sought to deal positively with all the bodies and organizations of the United Nations to develop programs aimed at protecting Yemeni citizens, topped by children, including the program signed with The United Nations Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) at a cost of $ 30 million paid by King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, wishing that the United Nations' report focuses on the results of this program and how the United Nations has acted in this money to protect children in Yemen." The Spokesman of Coalition Forces said, "Regrettably, the report did not show the figures provided by the Yemeni legitimate government that highlights the employment of children by Houthi militias in fighting fields and did not highlight the number of children killed due to their use in combating, planting mines and transferring ammunition and explosives." Brigadier Asiri added, "The report is unbalanced, does not depend on reliable statistics, does not serve the Yemeni people and misleads public opinions with incorrect figures, most of them depend on information taken from parties affiliated with Houthi militias and deposed Saleh in a clear contradiction with the United Nations resolution, which criminalizes the coup and coup rebels and recognizes the legitimacy of the Yemeni government at a time when we were waiting for the United Nations to rely on the statistics of the Yemeni legitimate government and support the legitimacy of that government. " Brigadier Asir said: "We were waiting that the United Nations values the Coalition's efforts in maintaining the legitimacy of Yemen and in getting all parties to the negotiating table to reach a political solution for the situation in Yemen, according to the UN resolution." He went on saying, "The Coalition hopes the United Nations to focus on the care of funded programs by King Salman Center, develop its procedures positively so the programs' goals can be achieved, most notably the protection of citizens and the delivery of relief and medical supplies to them and intensify its communication with the Yemeni legitimate government and the Coalition's Command for the success of the ongoing consultations in Kuwait, rather than the issuance of such negative reports." Brigadier Asiri explained that the coincidence of the issuance of this report with the ongoing consultations in Kuwait weakens the position of the UN and its envoy and equates between the legitimacy and coup rebels, and the positive efforts of the Coalition and the negative practices of the Houthi militias and their supporters, which are obvious to any observer, and the least we can say that this report of the UN is against the future of the Yemeni citizens in general.
