Vice Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura Dr. Mohammed bin Ameen Al-Jeffri said that Islam is a religion of justice, love and peace. Islam is innocent of terrorism because it prevents killing. He stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, supports peace and fights terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. "The Kingdom works to dry sources of funding terrorism as well as enacts laws and regulations that criminalize those who finance terrorism and terrorists," he added, rejecting accusations promoted by the Kingdom's enemies through media outlets that the Kingdom finances terrorism. This came in a speech delivered by the Vice Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura during his meetings separately with member of the US House of Representatives James Shafez and members of the US Senate Senator Ed Markey and Senator David Perdue at Congress headquarters in Washington. During the meetings, the Vice Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura and his accompanying delegation explained to the members of Congress the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's stances towards the situations in the Republic of Yemen, Syria, and Iraq, pointing out that the Iranian interferences in the internal affairs of some countries in the region came within framework of the so-called exporting Revolution pursued by the Iranian regime since establishment of the Iranian revolution at the hands of Khomeini in 1979. Dr. Al-Jeffri said that the Kingdom is witnessing, during the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, civilizational leap through "the Kingdom Vision 2030" which is an ambitious plan which will achieve economic and social qualitative transformations in the Kingdom. --More
